Problem

Are you annoyed that statement jewelry is on the decline? I am. I have a wall full of great pieces I’ve accumulated over the past few years, and I’m not giving them up. However, I’m also more than slightly obsessed with the dainty, layered looks that are so popular right now. So personally, I strive for a good blend of the two. How do I achieve that? Read on my friends.

Solution?
RocksBox.

Too often we see trends come in and out of style more rapidly than you can even afford to purchase them. RocksBox solves that problem. RocksBox is a monthly subscription service, similar to Ipsy or Birchbox (or Barkbox if you love the furries). They are unique in that they curate jewelry instead of makeup or dog treats.

How does it work?
RocksBox allows you to go through their website and create a nifty wish list, picking out all the jewelry in the land you would love to own. They have a good mix for every taste. You have a dedicated curator who looks over your choices, gets a sense of your jewelry style, and then picks 3 pieces which are mailed to your door.

You get a personalized gift box and a fun quote/message from your curator. On that same slip, they list the brands and prices of your pieces, and you get the choice to rate those pieces. If you don’t love something, you are able to provide feedback for an even better round next month. Ironically, my collection was curated around the necklace above, which was on my wish list, but I ended up loving the House of Harlow ring. Honestly have been wearing it every day. (Good job curator!)

If you keep the piece, you pay the *discounted* price of the jewelry and the item is yours. If you decide to return it, then you package it back up in the shipping materials they provide for you, and await your next shipment.

But how much does it cost?
For $19.00/month you can subscribe. Each shipment contains about $200 worth of designer jewelry (so don’t lose it because that would suck and you would have to buy it). You keep the jewelry as long as you want until you return/purchase it, then your next shipment will be out on its way. If you use my code fashioninvestigatorxoxo you get the first month free. Which means if you hate it or lose all your money gambling in Vegas you can cancel after your first month. I suspect you will want to continue this service, though. (Real talk, I’m not just saying this for a garbage freebie review. It’s pretty dope.)

What do you think? Are you ready to try out this service, or does it not seem like something you would be interested in? If you have tried it, please comment about your experience so those deciding if they want to try it can read about your situation. Again:
